Connext FleetOps — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026. This policy applies to the Connext FleetOps Android and iOS application (package com.connext.fleetops), used by fleet owners and their managers to run a fleet on the Connext platform. It is issued by Yaanpedia Technology Private Limited (trading as CarVach) and is provided in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

FleetOps is a separate application from the Connext customer app and the Connext Rider (driver) app. Those apps have their own policy at connext-api-production.up.railway.app/privacy. This document describes only what FleetOps does.

1. Who this policy is about

FleetOps is used by a fleet owner or operator — a business or individual who owns vehicles and engages drivers to run them. If you are a driver or a customer, this policy does not apply to you; see the policy linked above.

3. What FleetOps does NOT collect

4. Driver location and your responsibilities

Where you can see a driver's live position, that driver has separately consented to location sharing while on shift, under the driver policy. You may use that information only to operate your fleet — dispatch, safety and settlement. You must not use it to monitor a driver outside their working shift, and you must not disclose it to anyone else. In respect of your own staff and drivers, you act as an independent controller of the information you hold about them and are responsible for handling it lawfully.

5. How we use your information

6. Sharing

We share the minimum necessary: your vehicle and its documents with our verification reviewers; your business and payout details with payment and banking providers to settle money to you; your vehicle registration and type with a customer whose trip your vehicle is carrying; mapping providers (Google) for maps, geocoding and routing; cloud hosting, storage and messaging providers that run the platform; and government or regulatory authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

7. Storage and retention

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure. Vehicle documents are kept private and are served only through short-lived signed links to authorised reviewers. We keep your fleet's records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we are required to for tax, accounting, legal and dispute-resolution purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act

You may access and correct your fleet, vehicle and payout information inside the app. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time — see connext-api-production.up.railway.app/account-deletion, or write to the Grievance Officer below. Note that records we are legally required to retain (for example invoices and settlement records) are kept for the statutory period even after an account is closed. You may also nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), one-time-password sign-in, role-based access controls within a fleet, rate limiting, and signed time-limited access to uploaded documents. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the risk. Please keep your sign-in device and OTPs to yourself; anyone with access to your number can access your fleet account.

10. Children

FleetOps is a business application and is not intended for anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified in the app.
