Connext — Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Connext ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Connext customer and driver/partner apps and related services (the "Platform"). It is provided in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

• Account & contact: mobile number (used for OTP login), name, email, and (for businesses) GSTIN.
• Driver/partner KYC: identity and vehicle documents (e.g. Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, RC, insurance, selfie) for verification, as required to operate a transport service.
• Location: the driver app shares live GPS location while online and during a trip so customers can track the delivery and we can match nearby drivers. The customer app uses pickup/drop addresses you enter.
• Trip & transaction data: bookings, fares, ratings, tips, proof-of-delivery photos, and payment status.
• Device data: push-notification tokens and basic device/app information.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service: create accounts, match bookings to drivers, compute fares and distance, enable live tracking, process payments, and deliver notifications.
• To verify drivers and maintain trust & safety on the Platform.
• To provide customer/partner support and resolve disputes.
• To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

3. Sharing

We share the minimum necessary data: a driver's name, vehicle, rating, and live location with the assigned customer (and vice-versa, the pickup/drop and trip OTP with the driver); with payment processors to collect/settle payments; with mapping providers (Google) to power geocoding, distance, routing and address search; with cloud/storage and messaging providers that host the Platform; and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Storage & retention

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure. KYC documents are kept private and served only via short-lived signed links to authorised reviewers. We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

5. Your rights (DPDP)

You may access or correct your information from the app's profile screen, and request deletion of your account and personal data via Profile → Delete Account in the app (auxiliary data such as saved addresses, notifications and push tokens are removed and your account is anonymised). You may also write to our Grievance Officer below.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, rate limiting, and signed, time-limited access to sensitive documents. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

7. Children

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
